God’s people before the coming of Jesus enjoyed the grace of God,
but only as a shadow of what was to come. The fullness of the glorious grace of God is seen in the coming of the Son. In him grace wins its most spectacular victory. And then in the most glorious act of grace that creation has ever seen we are born from above as children of the Father.
We are children of grace, born again by the Spirit of the Son and made grateful subjects of this revolutionary kingdom of grace. We live today in the light of the decisive victory of our King. Through nothing we have done, in that beautiful exchange of our brokenness for Christ’s glorious perfection, we have been drafted into the ultimate winning team,
and so we sing.
